Price always seem to be an all-fired question when it comes to this breed. Most people don’t seem to understand the cost and time devoted to producing and raising these magnificent dogs. The females need to be artificially inseminated and usually they need to have a cesarean section. It is possible to naturally give birth for some females although very rare. The pups head and shoulders are very wide and very difficult for the mother to pass the pups on her own. The operation is also performed to safely produce healthy, prime quality puppies. You also have to take into account, the veterinarian bills, de-worming and food which all get quite costly. Breeders of these great animals devote much time to producing bulldogs puppies that are very healthy and try to give them the best start in life.

The dog is warranted only for the purpose of being a companion animal. While it may be capable of performing other functions, no warranty is given as to its fitness for any special purpose.

This Guarantee for health is applicable for 1 year.
This is our General Contract & Health Guarantee:

This puppy is sold with no known health or genetic defects. The general health is guaranteed for a period of 5 days against infectious, serious dog, or puppy diseases such as Parvo-virus, etc. This puppy has its proper shots and de-worming for its age. (we cannot cover puppy maladies such as worms, parasites, etc., we cannot guarantee a puppy from these as once it leaves our home, we cannot control its environment, food, care, or vet care). Buyer understands contract will be void if buyer fails to provide routine veterinary care, if puppy is sold transferred or injured by accident or neglect. This guarantee does not cover any common puppy ailments such as worms, vitamin deficiencies, any viral bacterial diseases or disorders brought on by parasites, or common traits in a Bulldog such as: Cherry eye, Entropion, "loose" hips or skin allergies (such as demodectic mange.) Puppies that are shipped are at risk for Coccidia and Kennel cough which is common in puppies that are shipped and usually caused by bacteria. Kennel cough is self limiting and like the common cold, it must run it course. Full recovery is expected and kennel cough on its own is not life threatening. So if you plan to have your puppy shipped instead of picking it up you need to be aware of this.

We recommend taking your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase (not including holidays or weekends). If the puppy is deemed to be unfit, unhealthy or unsound in any way, the full purchase price will be refunded or another puppy of comparable value from the next available litter will replace the puppy (original puppy is returned to us at purchaser’s expense) when one like the one purchased becomes available (breeder option). (The breeder reserves the right to postpone the replacement of a puppy for any reason).

Puppy must be returned at purchaser’s expense within 72 hours of purchase and must be accompanied by all paperwork supplied by the breeder at the time of the sale, a written statement from the veterinarian clearly stating the defect or illness. If a puppy is found to have a health problem at its initial veterinary visit and the purchaser opts to treat the puppy instead of exchanging for another puppy or returning it for a refund, the breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred or for the death of the puppy should this occur. No refunds or replacements will be made, nor will credit be issued.

Lola’s English Bulldogs reserves the right to seek a second opinion in any and all cases wherein you seek to utilize this warranty. This warranty is applicable only to you and is not transferable to any third party. You are to agree that the remedies listed below are the only remedies available.

The breeder reserves the right to have her own licensed veterinarian examine the puppy before the puppy is either replaced or a refund given (breeder option). The breeder must be notified prior to euthanasia (this only applies during the warranty period).

Although we do not anticipate any sick puppies, should this occur during the warranty period, sick puppies must not be returned to the breeder’s kennel. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to contact the breeder and arrange a meeting place to prevent other healthy puppies from becoming ill. The breeder would never knowingly sell an ill puppy, and purchaser agrees that the breeder could not have been aware of any illness or defect unable to be detected by a licensed veterinarian.

Any puppy purchased from the breeder will be replaced in the unfortunate event the pet dies within six months of the date of purchase if: vaccinations are current, and the death is not the result of neglect or accident. Should a puppy die during the six-month warranty period, the purchaser will return the deceased puppy, along with an autopsy report (autopsy & deceased puppy shipment is at the expense of the purchaser) by a licensed veterinarian to the breeder. Deceased puppy must be kept refrigerated (or packaged properly in dry ice for shipment) so breeder’s veterinarian may also perform an examination upon return.

We cannot guarantee against accident, neglect, or abuse, neither do we guarantee compatibility with your current pets. Heat stroke, dehydration, exhaustion or other heat related conditions are not covered in any way. Remember that the bulldog can overheat quickly and easily and may die as a result of over heating. He/she must be an indoor dog. We do not guarantee hips/knees. Because of the angularity and frame structure of bulldogs, a person could make the case that every bulldog (in theory) is dysphastic to a degree. Much of what could be clinically classified as dysphasia via X-ray, has no negative impact on the dog in terms of discomfort or physical limitations and is a result of breed characteristics. There are also factors other than genetics that contribute to dysphasia, including the slope that the dog lives on, weight of dog, the floor surface, and the activities the dog participates in. Puppies are sold as pets. "Cherry Eye" is also not covered. This is not a genetic condition and may or may not occur in some bulldogs.

CAUTION: Bulldogs can swim, but more often than not ---- they sink. They tire out easily, and have difficulty breathing because of the smashed nose. Combine those two factors and you have a recipe for disaster. EXTREME care must be taken in homes with swimming pools and or water gardens. Accidents are not covered in any way under this contract.
